BIOGRAPHY

EDINA SELESKOVIC is a multidisciplinary artist with international exhibiting experience. Seeking answers to questions about the role of culture in our society, her public art installations, on their global mission, generate a public dialogue connecting young people and creativity, cultural institutions and communities, art, and new technologies.

Edina Seleskovic was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has lived in the United States since 1991. She graduated from the renowned Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. From her studio in New York, her works have been exhibited in over 100 exhibitions throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Today, she is known as one of the most influential contemporary artists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Edina has won numerous awards, including the Sculpture Space Fellowship and the Golden Foundation Fellowship in New York. She is the winner of the global award for socially engaged visual artists, the World Citizen Artists Award 2020. Her work won the gold No Limit award in Sarajevo and the Primio Arbiter Fata Verde SyArt Award from the Sorrento Foundation in Sorrento, Italy. In 2022, Edina was awarded the Plaque of the City of Sarajevo for her contribution to the promotion of the arts and culture.

Her resume includes public speaking, working with NASA, establishing the Contemporary Woman Festival, mentoring, rebranding the BH national basketball team, and more. Edina is a guest lecturer at IEDC Bled in Slovenia. She is a full member of the International Academy of Science and Arts in B&H and a full member of the BH American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Edina lives and works in Tuzla, Sarajevo, and New York.
